A new immersive exhibition by Rob and Nick Carter explores the intersection of both worlds.
Vacheron Constantin has opened a new exhibition by acclaimed British artist duo Rob and Nick Carter Exhibition at its exclusive new penthouse, Club 1755 in London’s Mayfair.
Curated by Brandei Estes, the immersive Mastering Time and Light presentation is now on display until the end of September 2025.
The exhibition explores themes of time, light, beauty, and mortality – core concepts shared by both fine art and high watchmaking. Known for their use of cutting-edge technology, the Carters reinterpret classical art forms through pioneering tools such as computer-generated imaging, 3D modelling and advanced casting techniques.
Among the highlights is the Diamond Photogram series: twelve striking pieces created with over 40 carats of diamonds, each representing a Zodiac constellation. Using a single flash of light to expose the stones onto light-sensitive paper, the artists reveal an unprecedented view of the diamonds’ surface detail – mirroring the precision and complexity of Vacheron Constantin’s mechanical movements.
Another standout is Transforming Five Tulips, a 32-minute film capturing floral decay over six days, distilling the passage of time into a haunting visual meditation.
The show also features Black Tulip, a sculptural bronze reinterpretation of a 1643 watercolour, produced using lost-wax casting and 3D scanning.
